One look was all it took for Quarters’ first-time buyers

February 2014

When first homebuyers Nishaaharan Easwarapadcham and Ridma Nalawatte visited Peet’s Quarters community in Cranbourne – it was a classic case of love at first sight.

The young couple had already heard lots of good things about the community from friends who had recently built their new home there, so when they began thinking about purchasing their first home; it was the first place they looked.

“I really like the fact that it’s a brand new estate where everything has been finished to a high standard,” Nishaaharan said. “There are a lot of things happening in and around the community, and it creates a bit of a buzz.”

“After the Sales Representative explained what Peet has envisioned for the estate and seeing what is planned to be built around it – like the train station and schools – we decided to make it our home too,” he added.

The estate has plenty to offer as well. Quarters is already home to a community of around 175 households, and will be more than four times that size once completed.

The community’s design makes the most of the 66-hectare space – including a total of nine hectares dedicated to public open space. Two parks are established and regularly used by residents, whilst the waterway is now under construction and set to be delivered in the middle of next year (2014).

“What also really attracted us to the estate was the fact that we could get a good block, in a good location – and good value” Nishaaharan said.

Currently renting in Clayton, Nishaaharan and Ridma were delighted to discover that their budget stretched to a 4-bedroom 2-bathroom Metricon home at Quarters.

The estate’s good access to public transport was another bonus and will enable Nishaaharan to forego his car – and the traffic – for the train during his daily commute to the CBD. Ridma is also excited about the prospect of being able to work closer to their new home.

Enthusiasm for Quarters is contagious – the couple was so impressed by what this new community has to offer, they mentioned it to another friend of theirs who is now preparing to build and move in too!

“It will be nice to have friends close by,” Nishaaharan said. “Our friends who recommended Quarters to us only a few minutes’ walk from our house, so it will be nice to have them as neighbours.”

Quarters is well located close to the Cranbourne town centre and its established amenities, including schools and medical services. It’s also well-serviced with transport links, including bus services from Evans Road, Merinda Park and Cranbourne Train Stations, offering residents frequent links into Cranbourne and Melbourne.

There is currently a range of homesites options available for buyers looking to join this growing community with lots ranging in size from 294sqm to 576sqm and priced from $165,000 to $235,000. ‘Smart Living’ house and land packages are also available starting from $296,338.
