Community Development

peet limited land developers
  • Peet brings thousands of residents and members of the community together to celebrate important milestones and encourage a sense of community at its many estates.  Our community events include festive celebrations, family fun days and display village openings, including the launch of the Shorehaven Display Village at Alkimos, Western Australia in August 2011 which was celebrated by 2,500 people.
  • Peet’s communities feature public artworks by local and renowned artists.  The works reflect the nature and lifestyle of each community, create a sense of place and reflect the evolution of the local area.
  • Peet joined forces with community, government and corporate partners to develop an on-site nursery at The Village at Wellard – the Ngulla Community Nursery.  Created to provide native plant stock for rehabilitation works for the estate, the nursery is now leased by the Medina Aboriginal Cultural Community and offers horticulture, natural resource management and land management training for local youth.
  • Peet has implemented the Green Corps environmental training program at two of its estates – initially at The Village at Wellard and in the Maniana bushland adjoining Quattro: The New Queens Park.  The program sees the rehabilitation of bushland and wetland areas, while also encouraging people aged 17 to 20 years into employment and training.
