  • Usable timber was harvested during clearing from The Village at Wellard and reused for park benches. Grasstrees and zamias were also relocated and reused within the estate, and remaining vegetation was mulched and reused by residents and the local government authority.
  • More than 55,000 cubic metres of potentially asbestos contaminated soil was safely removed from site during the development of Quattro: The New Queens Park.
  • Vegetation removed to create Burns Beach was mulched and used extensively across the site to minimise moisture loss and allow the growth of native vegetation from seed.  Limestone from earthworks was also used in landscaping for the estate.
