Featuring Traditional Neighbourhood Design and New Urbanist principles, Peet and its specialist team has achieved a thriving, sustainable community whose design and development includes:
  • a diverse range of lot sizes to accommodate a variety of household and family types attracting a more diverse mix of people with a variety of budgets – from first home owners looking for affordable product to upgraders and investors;
  • the introduction of small lot product with rear laneways to the region;
  • sporting, arts and science precincts with themed nomenclature of famous Australians for streets, parks and reserves;
  • a state and private school within the community with shared facilities including sporting grounds and a Council oval;
  • a community sports pavilion;
  • two retail centres including an IGA; 7-Eleven and a range of other stores;
  • an interconnected street network, themed precincts and key landmarks providing legibility and permeability, particularly for pedestrians and cyclists to move throughout the neighbourhood and specifically to central facilities;

  • public and private open spaces that have been designed and constructed to use water efficiently, such as the construction of water storage tanks beneath the sports grounds to store recycled A-class water for irrigation purposes; the use of low-water use native plantings and the establishment of rain gardens; and the issuing of a "Flying Start" package including a waterwise landscaping package to establish and promote waterwise gardening to purchasers in the early stages.
