The Rise Tarneit

A sell-out success in just five years, The Rise Tarneit is one of Peet’s most popular residential projects west of Melbourne.

Like its neighbour Tarneit Gardens, The Rise was established on former agricultural land in fast-growing Wyndham, and is now a thriving community of more than 600 households.
Located 25 kilometres from Melbourne, the masterplanned estate enjoys sweeping views of the city skyline to Port Phillip Bay, Mount Macedon and the You Yangs.
The first homesites were released for sale in 2006 and The Rise Tarneit was popular with singles, couples and families alike.
Its elevated location, together with its wetlands and landscaped park, its proximity to shops, transport links and education, meant The Rise was one of the most sought after communities in the area.
When the land holding was first acquired in 2003, it was severely degraded as a result of farming. Through Peet’s vision and, with careful planning and intelligent design, The Rise Tarneit has become the modern community it is today.

Design Features

Peet’s vision for The Rise was to establish a community in which the potential for growth was vast and where residents would benefit from an array of planned and existing services – long after the last homesites were sold.
The vision was realised, evident in the range of new services and amenities being added to the neighbourhood since sales closed in 2011.
A new Woolworths supermarket with 20 speciality stores is set to open in neighbouring Tarenit Gardens in December 2013, providing an even greater level of convenience for residents of The Rise. In addition to the new supermarket, there are several shopping centres located within easy reach of the community, including Wyndham Village Shopping Centre, Werribee Plaza and Hogans Corner Shopping Centre.
The estate is well serviced with existing transport infrastructure – the nearby Princes Freeway provides quick access to the city and the estate is well serviced by public transport with bus services available along key routes near the community. Transport links are set to be further improved when the Tarneit Link V-Line railway line, located on the corner of Derrimut Road and Leaks Road, is completed.
There are several primary and secondary schools located within close proximity of the estate and land has been set aside for a future primary school within The Rise Tarneit community.
To assist residents in establishing environmentally-friendly and sustainable gardens, residents were offered a bonus waterwise landscaping package – where they could choose between Cottage, Australian and Mediterranean-style gardens and receive a rebate for being environmentally responsible.

Community Partnerships

Building strong community ties is always a priority for Peet, and at The Rise, Peet offered sponsorship and support to a number of community groups and initiatives that helped shaped the community over the life of the development and into the future.
In May 2010, through the support provided by Peet, the Wyndham Rotary Club was able to undertake the Gellibrand Community House Garden Renovation Project. The Project, which saw volunteers from Rotary work diligently to clean up the garden, establish new plants and construct several raised garden beds, was made possible by the support provided by Peet’s The Rise Tarneit community.
In 2009 and 2010, together with its neighbouring communities Tarneit Gardens and Innisfail, The Rise Tarneit’s community sponsorship program was also able to lend support to the not-for-profit Little Buddies Toy Library. Run by volunteers, the Toy Library is a valuable resource for Peet residents, and more than 250 families in the area.

Through Peet’s contribution, the Toy Library was able to provide children with quality educational toys and enhance their learning and play time.
